Management

The management major is designed to offer students a variety of business courses to prepare them for careers in management, finance, or human resources as well as the necessary requirements to pursue graduate studies. Transfer students must take at least 15 credit hours of regular classroom coursework in the major at Simpson College. A person may not major in Management and Accounting or Management and Marketing. A person majoring in Management may minor in Marketing, Accounting or any of the other minors available. Readily available in the evening program are 3 in Communication Studies, Computer Science, English, and Sociology. Cooperative education experiences and internships cannot be used to fulfill electives in the major.

Finance/Insurance Specialization

Students interested in a combined specialization in Finance/Insurance Specialization must choose as their two electives Magt 345, Principles of Insurance, and one of the following:

          ___ Econ 344 Money and Banking

Optional:  Management majors may, but are not required to, select one of the electives from the following:

MANAGEMENT MINOR:

It is understood that Acct 251 and 252, Econ 101 and 102, are prerequisites for 300 level Management courses. A business department major may not take this minor.
