The Simpson College Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (MACJ) is an evening program designed for working CJ professionals who want to advance their career, adding knowledge and a credential that is highly-valued in central Iowa. This program can be completed in 2.5 years while working full-time. A faster pace is possible. The program is affordable and loan support is available. The course schedule is flexible and the program and services are offered at our convenient campuses in Ankeny and West Des Moines. Most courses are taught by our faculty in 8-week terms with an online component, enhancing flexibility and convenience.
The MACJ consists of a total of 36 credit hours, with 8 courses required in the core and 4 elective courses. See program requirements.
Affordable
Graduate tuition at Simpson College in 2008-09 is $365 per credit. This compares very favorably other programs in our area. Taking two courses each semester will mean half-time for financial aid, thus Stafford loan eligible. Simpson provides an interest-free loan for students who have tuition reimbursement to enable you to defer payment until the end of term.
