Corporate Communication Major - 36 Hours

The major in Corporate Communication is designed to provide a solid grounding in the concepts and competencies necessary for students pursuing careers in public relations, advertising, integrated marketing communications and related fields. Committed to the ethical development and treatment of communication in its rich variety of forms, this program challenges students to understand, apply, analyze and articulate the complexity of human communication in a variety of contexts.

*Prerequisites for Communication Studies 341 or 346 from outside the Department of Communication Studies must be completed prior to the course being taken for credit in the Corporate Communication major/minor.
** Students with professional experience outside the Simpson curriculum may have this requirement waived at the discretion of the department chair. In such cases, any 300-level Communication Studies course may be substituted.

Policy on Major-Minor Combinations
Consistent with the goals of a liberal education, students at Simpson College may not select more than one major in Communication Studies, nor may they select a major-minor combination in Communication Studies.
