Located just 12 miles from Des Moines -- Iowa's communications and media hub -- Simpson College's programs in multimedia journalism and integrated marketing communication are uniquely placed to help students meet their professional goals in the field:
- Students complete basic skills coursework in multimedia and marketing communications during their first two years of enrollment.
- During years 2 and 3, students build on those skills by working in Simpson’s award-winning student media program. Students earn credit by working across media platforms and taking leadership positions with the student newspaper, magazine, radio station, video-production firm, website and integrated marketing communication agency.
- And in years 3 and 4, students complete professional internships, taking advantage of Simpson’s location near Des Moines while branching out to take internships in Chicago, New York, Washington — and internationally.
