What’s Does a NSS Retention Agent Do?

Retention agents contact policyholders by phone to conduct policy reviews on their existing policies, and look for opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell our other products

Our Agents:

• Become licensed to retain, cross-sell, up-sell, and sell personal lines (auto, home, umbrella) products to the public in multiple states.

• Make outbound telephone calls and perform follow-up work as required.

• Respond to objections successfully.

• Work in rapidly changing circumstances.

• Call out to existing policyholders and offer to conduct a customer care review of their existing policy.

• Cope with strict deadlines or time demands.

• Educate customers with recommended needed protection in case of accident, loss or disaster.

• Cope with anger or hostility of another person.

• Provide customers with peace of mind through the judicious use of up-selling coverage and cross-selling additional products.

• Deal productively with rejection.

• Prepare for problems/opportunities in advance.

• Meet sales goals to receive incentives and satisfactory performance rating.

• Have possible careers in sales, supervision, underwriting, data management, quality assurance, training, customer service, and other areas.

The Position Offers:

• Base salary of $34,200 with incentive opportunities after training based on production

• Schedule will be 11:30am-8:00pm Monday through Friday, except during training when the hours are 8:00am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

Program uses graduates and alumni from any major during a renewable 10-12 month term. Round-trip airfare reimbursed by host school at completion of contract.
