CAREER FAIR:
The Simpson College Career Fair will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012. This event is an opportunity for you to talk informally with our students who will be looking for information about opportunities with your business or agency for full and part-time jobs, internships or summer jobs. Hours will be from 11a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration fee is $30 for profit companies and $15 for non-profit. This includes lunch for two representatives.

JOB AND INTERNSHIP POSTING:
.If you are not already a registered user of CareerPaths, we would like to invite you to register for Simpson College's new on-line job band and web based recruiting system. Simpson CareerPaths will serve as a system for you to post positions, recruit Simpson students, resume management through resume books and search capabilities, event scheduling and many other great features.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: The Student Internship Program is a unique partnership of academia, industry and government all working together to link young Iowans to the state's unlimed career opportunities. This program provides grants to small and medium sized companies in the advanced manufacturing, biosciences, and information technology industries
INTERNSHIP COORDINATION:
Simpson has a strong commitment to internship experiences which integrate classroom work with learning on the job. Students may earn up to twelve hours of internship credit during their academic careers. POSTING POLICIES:
The mission of Simpson College Career Services is to provide guidance in the career planning process and all aspects of the job and graduate school search. It is our goal to assist students to become self-directed and to achieve to maximum benefit from their college experience.
Simpson College Career Services staff works only with Employers who comply with EEO and Affirmative Action principles in recruiting activities.
Simpson College Career Services welcomes employers to register and use CareerPaths (https://simpson-csm.symplicity.com) to post their job openings.
Career Services reserves the right to refuse/cancel the posting of any position that is deemed inappropriate or questionable.
The Career Services office will not list a position if:
• The position(s) requires a fee/payment or investment for the student
• The position is temporary and based on commission only
• The Study, Internship, and Work Abroad opportunity for which the student is required to pay a fee to locate
• The third-party recruiter requires an applicant-paid fee.
• The employment opportunity involves on-campus solicitation or on-campus sales
• The posting company is unwilling to provide information about their services and/or specifics about the job opportunity
• The third-party recruiter does not disclose (in the posting or to the student) the name(s) of the client(s) that the third party recruiter is representing and to whom the student’s credentials will be disclosed.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWING:
We post your position and accept resumes from students on your behalf. Two weeks prior to your scheduled campus interview date, we forward the resumes for your review. You notify us which students you want to interview and we arrange the interview schedule for you. Interviews take place in the Brenton Student Center on the Simpson College Campus. Schedule an interview online.
RESUME COLLECTION:
We post your position and accept resumes from students on your behalf. On the closing date you specify, we forward all resumes to you. Students are informed they will be contacted directly by you if they receive an interview. All interview arrangements are made by the employer and interviews are held in the workplace. INFORMATION TABLE:
Employers and graduate schools may set up an information table in the gallery area of the Brenton Student Center. This allows employers and students to meet in an informal setting. Schedule an information table online.
