Chris Cowan is working on a project to     re-introduce the Osprey into Iowa. He is working on building a habitat for the birds and will be involved in the care and feeding of the young birds when they are brought in from other states.

Chris has learned a great deal about the Osprey and the migration of birds. He has also learned several practical skills such as carpentry (constructing the habitat),the use of power tools and work vehicles.

This has been a good opportunity for Chris to learn more about his field and a great addition to his resume.  As Chris stated,"You can only learn so much in a classroom and the rest has to be hands on".
