The biology department is housed in Carver Science Hall. We have state of the art equipment for both molecular and organismal studies.


The Developmental Biology Student Research Laboratory (Carver Science Building room 139) is equipped with state of the art embryo culture and manipulation devices, Olympus stereo and fluorescence research microscopes and image capture and analysis systems featuring QICAM digital video cameras Image Pro software, and supporting computers. Funding for this equipment came from an NSF-CCLI grant (DUE# 0088702 Enhancing the biochemistry curriculum through project-based laboratories) and the Roy J. Carver Foundation.
