Ticket Information

Most Forum and music events are free and open to the general public. The Theatre Simpson box office is located in the lobby of Blank Performing Arts Center.   You can reach us at 515-961-1601 (tsboxoffice@simpson.edu). 

Box Office Hours

The Box Office opens approximately two weeks before the show opens. We are unable to take reservations until the box office opens officially for every show. Please check season literature for details on the exact dates.

Reservations and/or Pick up

10:30am – 4:30pm                   Monday through Friday

1:30pm – 4:30pm                     Saturday

10:30am – Showtime                Day of evening performances

11:30am – Showtime                Day of matinee performances

Brenton Student Center (BSC)  -  Reservations only

11:00am – 1:00pm

5:00pm – 7:00pm                                 Monday through Friday (*as staff available)

 

Reservations may be made in the following ways:

Ticket Pick up and Delivery

Tickets must be picked up no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance (7:00pm for a 7:30 show and 12:30pm for a 1:00 show). Any tickets not picked up by these times will be released and resold.

Tickets should be picked up at the BPAC within three days of making your reservation if possible. Tickets may not be picked up at the BSC.

On-Campus patrons may request to have their tickets delivered by campus mail if their reservation is placed more than three days prior to the performance.

  • Students, faculty, and staff should be prepared to show a valid Simpson I.D. for their complimentary tickets when placing a reservation in person, picking up an order, or upon entering the theatre.
  • On-Campus groups, such as classes that are required to attend, should coordinate their ticket order through the instructor. If time allows, these tickets will be delivered to the instructor.
  • Other student groups orders of 10 or more tickets will be held at the box office to be picked up on the performance date between 6:00 and 7:00pm or between 11:30am and 12:30pm for matinees

Off-Campus patrons (purchases) may send their payment by check if their reservation is place at least three days prior to the performance. We will then send tickets by mail if time allows, or patrons may pick up their tickets in person at the BPAC.

  • Regrettably, we cannot accept credit cards or purchase orders as payment.
  • Parking: Parking right next to the BPAC is often unavailable. In these instances, patrons should park in the lot by Memorial Park (1 block west of the theatre) or in the one by the baseball field (1 ½ blocks northwest of the theatre). Because our productions start on time, patrons should allow adequate time for parking. 

Exchanges

Exchanges of tickets already received by the patrons will be allowed at the BPAC, with the following criteria:

  •  The patron makes the exchange in person.
  •  The patron has his/her ticket in hand.
  •   The exchange is made prior to 4:30pm on the performance date.

Refunds

Once the box office has received payment, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED

General Patron Information

  • Children under the age of five are not allowed in the audience for any performance.
  • The House opens 30 minutes prior to the start of the show.
  • Cameras and Recording devices are prohibited in the auditorium.
  • Please make sure all paging devices, cellular phones, and alarms are turned off.
  • Please no text messaging during the performance.
  • Restrooms are located on the main lobby level.
  • Only production staff members are allowed in the back stage areas.
