Homecoming 2007 countdown is on!
Only 27 days to go! Come back to campus for Homecoming 2007 on October 6. The classes of 1987, 1992, 1997 and 2002 will be celebrating milestone reunions, however all alumni, friends and family are encouraged to attend any and all events.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tailgate Under the Tent, north of McNeill Hall*
11:15 a.m. Simpson vs. Concordia - Moorhead volleyball game, Cowles
1 p.m. Simpson vs. Central football game, Bill Buxton Stadium
3:30 p.m. Simpson vs. St. Thomas volleyball game, Cowles
4 p.m. (approx.) All-Alumni Party and Class Reunions, Hopper Gym*
6-8 p.m. Simpson soccer against Cornell College, Bill Buxton Stadium
7:30 p.m. Memorial Concert for Anne Ogan Larson ’67, Great Hall, with a reception to follow in the Matthew Simpson Room

Class of 2011
The school year began on August 28 for 385 first-year students. This is a group of energetic and talented individuals who come from Iowa, 14 other states and overseas nations. There are 93 students who have had a relative attend Simpson, and 19 students who have had at least one parent graduate from Simpson. Twelve percent of the students graduated first, second or third in their high school class.
Family Weekend is September 21-23
Family Weekend is a special time at Simpson, an opportunity for our students to spend time with family while taking in the Simpson Experience. Visit the website at http://www.simpson.edu/family/index.html for the complete schedule.
If your child is the second generation or more attending Simpson, we invite you to have your picture taken at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, just before the pre-game meal. All Legacy Families are asked to meet just outside Pfeiffer Dining Hall, near the red canopy for the photos. Legacy Families will also have special seating at the pre-game meal. If you plan to have your picture taken and attend the luncheon, please contact Nicole Darling at 515-961-1747 in student development.
Wayne Carse Storm Golf Classic on September 27
Join the Simpson Athletic Department at Echo Valley Country Club in Des Moines on Thursday, September 27 for the 6th annual Wayne Carse Storm Golf Classic. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. After golf, stay for the evening social that will include dinner, a raffle, silent auction and a live auction.
This event is an opportunity for college, community and business people to enjoy a day of golf and festivity, while supporting the athletic department in its effort to maintain and build on an already strong tradition. The Simpson Storm will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes
The Simpson Men’s Basketball Team will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in an exhibition game on November 1 in Iowa City. We invite you to the pre-game reception at the University of Iowa’s Levitt Center from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. More details of the reception and game will be available soon, so please save the date on your calendar!
