Simpson College developed the Simpson Alumni Career Enhancement (ACE) Grant to help alumni who are facing challenges in the job market. Through the ACE grant, Simpson is offering financial assistance for undergraduate courses for the 2011-2012 academic year at the following rates:
Unemployed and/or underemployed with a
household income up to $25,000 - Full Tuition Scholarship
Household annual income of $25,001 - $50,000 - 75% Tuition Scholarship
It is our intent to assist our unemployed and underemployed alumni and 2011 graduates in strengthening their marketability by continuing their education through adding undergraduate courses that lead to another undergraduate major or strengthening their academic background through additional undergraduate course study.
To qualify, alumni must have on record a degree from Simpson with a household income of less than $50,000. Alumni may enroll on either a full or part-time basis in day or evening classes at any one of our campuses in Indianola, Ankeny or West Des Moines as space is available. Spots are awarded on a first come, first served basis according to application date. Tuition reimbursement from an employer must be utilized if it is available. The grant is available for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Awardees are held to the same academic standards as outlined in the Simpson College Student Handbook. Students must follow these guidelines, including, but not limited to academic integrity, class attendance, etc. Please visit http://www.simpson.edu/studentlife/StudentHandbook2010-11.pdf to review the current Student Handbook.
