Simpson Cup and Presidents' Picnic

You may notice a change in our event schedule.  In anticipation of the grand opening of the
Kent Campus Center during Homecoming & Family Weekend on October 18-21, we have moved several Alumni Weekend traditions to the fall.  These two events below will remain in June to take advantage of warmer weather.  We hope to see you at both!

Simpson Cup Golf Tournament
The 16th annual Simpson Cup Golf Tournament will return to the Indianola Country Club located at 1610 Country Club Road in Indianola.  Tee times are available 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Advance registration and payment are required for this two-person best shot golf tournament.  Your $60 registration includes green and cart fees, a box lunch and a commemorative Simpson visor.  Four people will be assigned to a tee time.  Kindly indicate any preferences for your foursome at the time you register. 

Presidents' Picnic
What's better than a casual summer picnic on campus with friends?  Join us for President John and Nancy Byrd's last Presidents’ Picnic before his retirement in the Spring of 2013.  Those attending the picnic will have the opportunity for a hard hat tour inside the Kent Campus Center.  During the picnic, we will announce the winners of the highly-coveted Simpson Cup.  The picnic begins at 6 p.m. on the patio west of Dunn Library.  (Rain site: Pfeiffer Dining Hall.)  $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and children 5 and under are free.

If you or someone in your party has difficulty walking distances, we would be glad to arrange a ride on a golf cart.  Please let us know in advance or contact a staff member upon your arrival.
