RAGBRAI

We are proud to announce that Team Simpson will participate in RAGBRAI XXXIX – 
July 24 – 30, 2011!

Team Simpson in jerseys 2009Team Simpson is open to anyone connected to the college in any way - alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends. If you are interested in riding with Team Simpson for the entire week or for a day or two, please fill out the application and return it with the appropriate fees to co-captain Chris Goodale by March 14, 2011. Remember you must register with RAGBRAI as well as with Team Simpson.

This fully supported team will provide transportation for riders, bikes and gear to the start of the week-long ride, luggage transfer to each overnight town, host homes for camping each night and transportation back to Simpson from the ending community. There will be Simpson jerseys for those who ride and a few for those who would like to purchase one. Here are the complete details and costs:

Full Week $350
This includes the official RAGBRAI rider registration fee, Simpson jersey, transportation of riders, bikes and gear from Simpson to the starting community, arrangements for host homes for camping each night (tents NOT provided), transport of gear to each overnight host location, transportation of rider, bike and gear back to Simpson from the ending community. A light, Continental breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks each day will be provided.

Daily Rider $50 per day
Rider pumping up tireThis includes the official RAGBRAI daily rider fee, arrangements for host homes for camping each night (tents NOT provided), transport of gear to each overnight host location. A light, Continental breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks each day will be provided.

Transportation to Start or From Finish $50
If you are planning to be a Team Simpson day rider during the first portion of the RAGBRAI route and you need transportation to Sioux City, or if you are planning to be a Team Simpson day rider as the ride ends in Dubuque and need transportation back to Simpson, there is a fee of $50 to cover transportation costs.

Simpson Jersey $65 each
This pro-fit, traditionally designed jersey, made of Micro-Airdry fabric, will allow you to proudly “flaunt the Red and Gold” as you ride. The Raglan sleeves, square collar, side panels, three back pockets, 15 inch invisible zipper, elastic waist jersey is produced by Louis Garneau USA.
