Friday, October 7
8:30 am - 5 pm - Bookstore open. You can find us at our temporary location in Hopper Gym.
3 - 8 pm - Discounted Golf at Deer Run in Indianola - Tee times can be scheduled by contacting Deer Run Golf Course at (515) 961-5445. $10 per person for 9 holes plus cart fees. Available to alumni, students and students' family members.
5:30 pm - Simpson Athletics Red & Gold Celebration - Join us at the Indianola Country Club for the 2nd annual Red and Gold Simpson Athletics Celebration as we honor the following:
Hall of Fame: Nick Ackerman '01 (wrestling), Amber Ridnour Williams '00 (softball), Matt Young '99 (wrestling), Emily Tonn '00 (basketball), Trisha Heiden Zoske '99 (basketball) Veteran's Hall of Fame: Wes Sharp '49 (track), Bob Foote '75 (basketball and tennis) Coaches Hall of Fame: Larry Johnson and Ken Heizer Double S Award: Geoff Christy '92 (baseball), Chad Earwood '94 (football) and Kim Berg Cronk '96 (tennis) Dick Buxton Award: Bob Mackenzie '70 (football)
The evening will include a celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Barborka Award and all past recipients are encouraged to attend. If you were a recipient, please contact Judy Hutton as soon as possible at (515) 961-1492 or at judy.hutton@simpson.edu. Memorial tribute to coaches John Sullivan and Ken Heizer who passed away during the last academic year.
Social hour is at 5:30 pm and dinner and program start at 6:30 pm. Reservations required.

8:30 pm - Yell Like Hell - An annual favorite housing competition, watch the students whoop it up in Cowles!
Saturday, October 8
8 - 10 am - Pancake breakfast - We'll be flappin' stacks of jacks at Pfeiffer Dining Hall.

8:30 am - 4:30 pm - Bookstore open. Find us in our temporary location in Hopper Gym.
9 am - Men's baseball scrimmage - The boys of summer will take the field for an exhibition game. McBride Baseball Field.
10:30 - 11 am - Parent Connection - A chance to have a conversation with Jim Thorius, vice president of student development, on current campus issues and topics pertaining to student life. Carver Science Hall, Room 231.
11 - 11:30 am - Advisor meetings - Families of first-year students may visit with individual faculty advisors during this time. Locations to be announced.
11 am - 1 pm - Be sure to stop by the Red & Gold Hospitality Tent for event info.
11 am - 1 pm - Giant Tailgate Party - Students, families, alumni, friends, faculty & staff are invited to gather in the parking lot of Hillman Hall prior to the game. Bring your own tailgate or purchase a dog, brat or burger from our big grill! Cash bar available for those over 21.
11 am - 1 pm - Greek Gatherings - Contact individual chapters for details.
11 am - 1 pm - Little Stormchasers - From inflatables, a balloon artist to face painting, kids of all ages will have a ball! West of Carver Hall. FREE
1 pm - Storm Football Simpson vs. Cornell - Cheer on the Storm as they take on the Rams in a heated battle. Game tickets are available at the gates.
4:30 - 6 pm - Post-Game Party - Join us after the game for FREE appetizers and soft drinks under the big white tent in Hillman parking lot! Live music by Brian Congdon. All are welcome. Cash bar for those over 21.
4:30 - 6 pm - 1986 Reunion - It's been 25 years and it's time to celebrate! Members of any class are welcome to stop by.

7:30 p.m.- Theatre Simpson presents

8 pm - Bingo in Hopper - It's a great ending to the day with complimentary snacks and soda.
Sunday, October 9
8 - 9:45 am - Coffee and tea - provided by Holy Grounds in Dirlam Lounge in Smith Chapel.

10 - 11 am - Sunday worship - Presented by the students of the Religious Life Council in Smith Chapel.
11 am - 1 pm - Sunday brunch - Open to the community, enjoy a full Sunday brunch in Pfeiffer Hall. $10.95 per person, $4.25 for children 6 and under. Pay at the door.
1 p.m.- Simpson Theatre presents Women Beware Women .
