The Simpson College Nominating Committee is responsible for recommending nominees for membership on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the nominees for the Alumni Awards presented at Alumni Weekend.
Nomination Process for membership on the Alumni Association Board of Directors:
- Nominations are submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations.
- All nominations are reviewed by the nominating committee.
- The nominating committee recommends a slate of new members for approval by the Alumni Association.
- Slate is presented to the Alumni Association and voted on at the All-Alumni Breakfast during Alumni Weekend.
Nomination process for alumni awards:
- Nominations are submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations.
- All nominations are reviewed by the nominating committee.
The nominating committee recommends award recipients for the Alumni Achievement, Alumni Loyalty, Recent Alumni Achievement, Recent Alumni Loyalty and Humanitarian Service Awards. - All nominees are contacted and informed of their nomination. Prior to being presented to the Alumni Association Board of Directors for a vote, the nominees must commit to attend the Alumni Recognition Dinner in June.
- Once all nominees have accepted or declined the nomination, the slate is presented to the Alumni Association Board of Directors for approval at the October Board of Directors meeting.
