Simpson offers two baccalaureate degrees:  bachelor of arts and bachelor of music.  To earn a bachelor of arts degree from Simpson, you must fulfill the following requirements:

• Complete at least 128 semester hours of course work with a cumulative grade of C or better. (132 semester hours for the bachelor of music degree.)
• Complete at least 64 semester hours beyond that transferred in from two-year colleges and at least 32 semester hours of work beyond that transferred in from four-year colleges.
• Fulfill the requirements of a major field of concentration.  A maximum of 42 hours in the major department, excluding May Term courses, and 84 hours in the division of the major, including May Term courses, may be applied toward graduation.
• Meet the requirements of the cornerstone studies in Liberal Arts including Senior Colloquium.
• Complete one May Term for each full year of study at Simpson.
• Satisfy all competency requirements.
