You know the
saying “All work and no play…” Well, play is definitely a good thing. That’s
why at Simpson, we put a lot of energy in figuring out how to play. At least
the student-run Campus Activities Board (CAB) spends a lot of time figuring out
stuff for students to do. From comedians to hypnotists to rock n’ roll, the
list is endless.
And then there’s Stormy Nights--events scheduled for the weekend that might find you heading to the movies, jamming to a band, laughing with a comedian, singing karaoke on the square or eating a midnight breakfast.

Not only are there things to do on campus, there’s always the Des Moines cultural and social scene. Catch an Iowa Cubs game, shop the new Jordan Creek Town Center or take in a Broadway show at the Civic Center. Yes, play can be a good thing.
