Master of Arts in Criminal Justice
Program Costs and Financial Assistance
Students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program at Simpson College are charged $440 per credit.
Federal financial assistance is available to Master of Arts in Criminal Justice students in the form of William D. Ford Direct Stafford Loans. The Stafford Loans are unsubsidized with a fixed interest rate of 6.8%. Students may borrow up to $20,500 per academic year.
Students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as complete entrance counseling and a Master Promissory Note to receive federal student loans. Financial assistance may be used for tuition, books, supplies, transportation costs and other education related expenses.
Simpson College also offers a variety of tuition payment options and some students may qualify for reimbursement from an employer.
Loan Forgiveness Opportunities
The U.S. Department of Education offers two loan forgiveness options that may be available to individuals that complete the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program.
Stafford Loan borrowers may be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness after obtaining full-time employment in a government or nonprofit agency for ten years.
Additionally, students who received Perkins Loans during undergraduate study may be eligible for Law Enforcement or Corrections Officer Cancellation.
