Applications for admission to Simpson College are acted upon by a faculty committee representing the five academic divisions of the college. These faculty members evaluate candidates for admission by considering the following:
First-year Applicants
- College preparatory courses taken and the grades received in those courses
- Rank in class
- Official results of standardized tests (ACT or SAT I) including test subscores
- Recommendations from high school principals or guidance counselors
- Other recommendations as requested by the office of admissions
Transfer Applicants
- Successful completion of academic work at an accredited college or university
- High school record and standardized test scores
- Other recommendations as requested by the office of admissions
International Applicants
- Successful completion of academic work as documented on official transcripts
- Official test results of TOEFL, ACT or SAT I
- Other recommendations or information as requested by the office of admissions
