Requirements For Admission

Applications for admission to Simpson College are acted upon by a faculty committee representing the five academic divisions of the college.  These faculty members evaluate candidates for admission by considering the following:

First-year Applicants

  • College preparatory courses taken and the grades received in those courses
  • Rank in class
  • Official results of standardized tests (ACT or SAT I) including test subscores
    Simpson ACT code is 1354; SAT-I code is 6650 
  • Recommendations from high school principals or guidance counselors
  • Other recommendations as requested by the office of admissions

Transfer Applicants

  • Successful completion of academic work at an accredited college or university
  • High school record and standardized test scores
  • Other recommendations as requested by the office of admissions

International Applicants

  • Successful completion of academic work as documented on official transcripts
  • Official test results of TOEFL, ACT or SAT I
  • Other recommendations or information as requested by the office of admissions
