Management

Business is the largest program at Simpson, led by an experienced faculty who excel in their discipline. Degrees are offered in accounting, economics, international management, management and marketing. The classroom challenges students to develop and demonstrate a mastery of skills including logical, consistent, critical and creative thinking; effective communication; and responsible and confident leadership. Several organizations are designed to enrich the student’s education: Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), Phi Beta Lambda business club, on-site business seminars and various internship opportunities.

As a management/marketing major at Simpson, students gain incredible insights into every aspect of business. From local entrepeneurship to international commerce students gain real world experience.

After extensive research and focus groups, the entrepreneurial SIFE students have opened a restaurant and hangout for the community. On the town square sits the “The Storm Cellar,”  a local pizza and sub shop. From bookkeeping to hiring employees, these SIFE students do it all.

Recent jobs and internships
IBM, Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., Allied Insurance, 3M Corporation,  Chrysler Corporation, Prudential Financial, Wells Fargo Financial and United Parcel Service.

“I think students who decide to come to Simpson  and major in the business area really have a tremendous benefit. Not only does a student get wonderful training in his or her chosen profession, but also this fabulous background in the liberal arts.”
