Business is the largest program at Simpson, led by an experienced faculty who excel in their discipline. Degrees are offered in accounting, economics, international management, management and marketing. The classroom challenges students to develop and demonstrate a mastery of skills including logical, consistent, critical and creative thinking; effective communication; and responsible and confident leadership. Several organizations are designed to enrich the student’s education: Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), Phi Beta Lambda business club, on-site business seminars and various internship opportunities.
Study abroad is strongly encouraged. Students have traveled to many countries, including Brazil, Germany, Central America, France, Spain, Austria, Japan, Australia, Great Britain, Denmark, Thailand, Greece, Norway and Zimbabwe.

“I think students who decide to come to Simpson and major in the business area really have a tremendous benefit. Not only does a student get wonderful training in his or her chosen profession, but also this fabulous background in the liberal arts.”
