One of the most beneficial, however, is the availability of internships. Simpson's extensive career resources enable students to   experience the rigors of the working world and gain invaluable on-the-job insight. Located just 12 miles south of Des Moines, Simpson offers students the opportunity to get professional experience while earning college credit.

From working with a Fortune 500 company to spending time in an elementary school, students can explore a variety of possibilities. In addition to Des Moines’ extensive array of jobs and internships, students may push the boundaries and seek positions across the country and even abroad. Whether learning your way around the White House or polishing up your German at DaimlerChrysler – two recent experiences of Simpson students – internships are a great way to learn beyond the classroom.

• Simpson has a 4-4-1 academic calendar. For three weeks every May, students have an excellent window of opportunity to explore beyond the classroom.
• Nearly 150 employers and graduate schools visit campus each year.
• Students receive personal advising to assist in determining their interests, strengths and career goals.
• Simpson’s annual Alumni-In-Residence day gives students firsthand information about working within their field of interests, as well as making positive networking contacts.
• Internship experiences will give students the edge in a competitive job market and provide additional experiences that can be valuable in graduate programs as well.
