Student Government Nomination

Election Day Policies

Any write-in candidates must be written in for an appropriate office or the ballot will be nullified

Students shall vote with the class they entered with at Simpson College.  Transfer students will be placed with a class according to the number of semesters attended at another institution.

Election Schedule

Friday, April 13 Election packets due in Rich Ramos’ office (Room 302 in BSC) at 4:00 PM.
Monday, April 16 - Wednesday, April 18 Online Election: Students can vote anytime online during these days.
Wednesday, April 18 4:00 PM Online Elections close.  The winners of each race will be notified.
Wednesday, April 18 7:00 PM First Student Government Association meeting in the Senate Room, 4th floor of the BSC

Poster Policy

  • One poster per bulletin board
  • No Posters on entrance/exit doors on campus buildings
  • Size limit on bulletin boards – 8 ½” x 11”
  • Posters that violate these guidelines will be taken down by the Internal Affairs Committee
  • All poster placement and size is under the discretion of the Internal Affairs Committee
  • All posters must be taken down within 24 hours following the results of the election
