CAB Purpose

The Campus Activities Board is a student-run organization designed to address co-curricular, social, recreational, cultural, and educational needs of the Simpson College student body by planning events in the Student Center and elsewhere on campus.    Although the BSC is the main programming venue, the board shall consider other locations throughout the college community for co-sponsored events.

Co-Sponsorships

CAB will consider requests for co-sponsorship from all interested recognized student organizations or college departments. Events must meet the following guidelines and procedures to be considered for co-sponsorship:

A.     Co-sponsored events must be open to the public

1.  Events should take place in the BSC or on campus.

B.        All advertising must include:

            1.  The sponsoring organization

            2.  “Co-Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board”

            3.  The CAB logo

            4.  Any other co-sponsoring organizations

            5.  Copies of all advertisements must be given to CAB

C.        Funding and Evaluations

            1.  Sponsoring group member(s) must meet with a CAB member to

clarify funding.  Proposals are brought to the board and members vote on

whether to accept or deny the event. If accepted, members vote on how

much support (financial and administrative) to give.

            2.  A CAB Event Evaluation form must be completed and returned after

                     the event.

            3.  Audience evaluations provided by CAB should also be distributed and

                collected at the event.

D.        Completion of the application and fulfillment of all requirements does

not guarantee co-sponsorship by the CAB.

            1.  The CAB must be notified as soon as possible regarding any

                   proposed changes involving the event.

2.       Failure to comply with any of these guidelines may result in the

CAB's revoking of all co-sponsorship funding.
